We want anyone in Birmingham who’s had a transplant and loves football to know there’s a club waiting and ready for you to join! We’ve built a strong community of players, family and friends and are excited to do as much as we can with the club.

Our club has a wide range of abilities, so whether you’re an experienced player or just starting, you’ll find teammates who match your skill level and enthusiasm.

TAKE PART

We hold monthly training sessions at Alexander Stadium 3G, Birmingham. Thanks to our recent fundraising efforts, training will now be free through to January 2026! Our goal is to make training free for all permanently and we are currently raising funds to do so.

Up to date training dates are put on our facebook and instagram pages. Or for more information contact us via email at [email protected].

HOW IT STARTED

Our team was set up in 2024 for a charity football match against Birmingham City All Stars. After being on the receiving end of quite a trouncing we decided to put on regular training sessions with the aim of competing in the British Transplant Games football tournament.

We have since gone on to play in charity matches, local tournaments and friendlies against other transplant football teams. For the past two years, we have won the annual British Transplant Games Football Tournament.

CLUB ETHOS

Our club thrives on the input of all its members and we’ve built our identity together from the ground up!

We’ve decided on our club name, badge and colours through a team vote. We’ve also successfully crowdfunded our first-ever kit, training shirts and supporter shirts.

The phoenix on our badge symbolises the second chance at life our team has been given. The seven feathers of its wing represent the different types of transplant recipients who participate in transplant football.

TRANSPLANT FOOTBALL

Transplant football is rapidly growing both in the UK and worldwide. Some of our players have been lucky enough to represent their country in international transplant football competitions such as the Transplant Football World Cup and European Transplant Football Cup.

Transplant football usually consists of small-sided games of 6 or 7-a-side. There is no sliding, rolling subs and games are shorter in duration.

TASTER SESSION

If you would like to take part in our next Birmingham Transplant FC training session, sign up and get your first session for free.

If you don’t feel quite ready to take part in the playing side of things you are also more than welcome to come and watch training and get to know the team that way.
